“ We have always walked by and wondered about dining in but never had the chance to to explore. But this was a special birthday occasion and even though it did feel fancy and elegant, it was also casual and homey. We tried a couple of different dishes to share and everting was packed with flavor. At the end, we received a complimentary birthday cookie. It was overall a great experience and worth trying for a fun special occasion or a night out with friends. ”
“ Delicious food, beautiful ambience with a room in the back for a private party, and great service. We had the spreads: piquillo and almond, dill lebni and smoked trout roe, white bean and black olives and two flatbreads, Branzino, cornbread with harissa butter, and Basteeya with chicken confit. Everything was delicious, but pricey. Michelin-starred restaurant and chef. Place was packed. Street parking. ”
“ Celebrated my birthday here recently. Delicious food. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend. ”
“ Came here with my husband for a bday celebration. We had to wait a bit for our table. The service was amazing and food was great. The bread was to die for. We really enjoyed the basteeya and the Branzino. ”
“ Had a chance to try Aziza last night and had a really good dining experience. This place is very elegant with the cutest interiors which is perfect for a nice dinner. The service here was top notch and the food was yummy. We had a reservation at 8pm when we were promptly seated and ordered a variety of items: * Kefta - this was a highlight of the table and all the flavors went perfectly together. Would highly recommend to order this dish! *trio of dips - this was really yummy and came with a yogurt dip, lentil dip (I think) and a Muhammara. The Muhammara or the red colored dip was everyone's favorite. The bread that this came with was also nice but a little thicker and denser for my liking. * Grilled shrimp - This was also very yummy and I loved the char flavor this came with which was delicious. The sauce with this was also wonderful * Lamb shank - this was fall off the bone and very yummy. I loved that it was so soft and the couscous and salad it came with was yummy. The crispy sweet potatoes were also a great flavor *Basteeya - My husband liked this the most but the best way to describe this is a baklava. If you are into that, you will like this! * Salmon Tagine - the fish was very well prepared and soft and the curry was also good. I felt like there should be some carb that comes along with this though like rice or couscous * Branzino - this was a really well made dish that I thoroughly enjoyed. It came with the whole fish with a DELICIOUS sauce and veggies. I would definitely order this again just for the sauce. Highly recommend. *Harissa Cookies - these were really interesting and soft and chewy. The harissa gave it a nice kick which I enjoyed * Date Cake with ice cream - this was really yummy and soooo good. Hot and cold with lots of deliciousness. Definitely order this! Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend! ”
“ Loved the cozy and intimate interiors. We didn't have a reservation on a Friday night, but we were able to snag seats at the bar - it was empty when we sat down. Honestly, it ended up being such a pleasant surprise--more private and just as enjoyable! Every dish we tried was fantastic. The mussels, squid, eggplant, and salmon tagine were all beautifully prepared and with lots of flavor. The salmon did take a little longer to come out, but the staff more than made up for it by sending us a complimentary dessert, which was the perfect sweet ending to an already wonderful meal. Highly recommend Aziza for its delicious food, warm ambiance, and thoughtful service! ”
“ A truly incredible experience from start to finish. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm, inviting, and elegant without being pretentious at all. We made a reservation for Friday night and we'Re pleasantly surprised to see it bustling and lively. We started off with the squid and corn bread for appetizer. I cannot recommend the corn bread enough!!! This was a standout dish on its own. With the melted harissa butter, the crispy corn bread baked on an iron skillet, I was transported to absolute bliss. We devoured every bite. The squid was fresh and tangy. Our entree favorite was the lamb shank which was incredibly soft and did not have a gamey taste whatsoever. The basteeya was unique, and the crispness and infinite amount of flakes in the exterior made it all the rage! The branzino was tender but lacked some of the complex flavor and char we were looking for. The shakshuka was pretty standard but the bread was incredible. Loved the Moroccan tea and cookies for dessert. We will be back! ”
“ Aziza is one of those places that nails it with nice ambiance and great food. Our of 8 adults and two toddlers had an excellent meal here. We ordered a bunch of starters to share and got full so I also split my entree with a friend. We ordered the prawns, squid, trio pf spreads, the kefta and little gem salad to start. Everything was delicious. There was nothing that I would not order again. I'm so glad our group was down to share! My entree was the salmon tagine, which was also very good. Our gluttonous group also ordered the corn bread which was my least favorite. It was just too sweet for my taste. I believe it was topped with honey, so it tasted more like a dessert. I'd return here. for sure. My four star rating was for the slow kitchen. It took nearly an hour for our starters to come out. Other than that, the service was wonderful. ”
“ This was our third time having brunch at Aziza. It was a mixed experience (mostly positive) for us this time, both impressive and a bit disappointing in certain ways. We secured our reservation effortlessly through OpenTable, which was a nice start. The ambiance was lively, though the volume made it a bit challenging to keep up with conversation at times. Our server was attentive throughout, even stepping in to pour water for me when she noticed I was struggling. This kind of service and attention I always appreciate. The food itself was visually beautiful and delicious, showcasing thoughtful presentations and bold flavors. We started with the Beghrir Pancakes, a standout with citrus honey and a hint of bee pollen. This was actually my mother's favorite dish. The custard French toast topped with huckleberries and coriander mascarpone was another highlight, rich yet balanced with that maple syrup. I also ordered the scrambled eggs with za'atar and avocado rye toast, which was thankfully one of my personal favorites. This was not what I actually wanted to order... more on that below. Also we ordered the Grilled Prawns which were flavorful, a bit too much so however. More on this below as well. Despite all the good we did run into a few bumps. Two of the main items we wanted to try, the Eggs Benedict and the Shakshuka, were unavailable, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, when I ordered the Grilled Prawns and polenta for my daughter, I was surprised to find it spicy. This wasn't indicated explicitly on the menu (harissa was the spice I believe since I had to look it up after), and the server didn't warn us. Similarly, the crispy potatoes we added on for my daughter also turned out to be spicy as well, and without a note or warning, which unfortunately led to my daughter being unable to enjoy her $35+ meal. Overall the food was fantastic, but I'd recommend Aziza clearly label dishes that are spicy, especially for the add-ons. It's a small detail that would have made a big difference in our experience. ”
“ We decided to try this spot for brunch after seeing it recommended on Reddit for SF brunch spots. While it's more known for dinner, their brunch didn't disappoint! There was no wait, and we were seated right away at 11 AM. They have ample indoor seating. We ordered the Olives & Walnuts, Beghrir Pancakes, and Shakshuka. The pancakes were hands down the best I've ever had; soft, moist, and perfectly paired with honey. They weren't too sweet or heavy, and we honestly considered ordering another one! The Shakshuka was also great, with a rich tomato flavor and a good amount of protein. The sourdough on the side had a nice crunchy crust and a soft center. The only letdown was the Olives & Walnuts, we were expecting pitted olives, and we're not fans of whole ones. The walnuts were tasty, but there weren't many of them. ”
